I've seen too many people attacking his film when they haven't even seen the film.

I've dealt with his ilk before.

They see politics as a tool for power, not change. They view the tax payer as a cash cow. They support Unions.

If Al Gore gets his way, you will be paying Carbon Offsets fees and taxes. More of this money will go to line his, and other organized crime types like him, than will be going for any meaningful research or programs.

If he was campaigning for alternative fuels with as much zeal as he is for a stagnation of development I would support him. It's not that he says " I'm for stagnation of development ", it's that the American democrats policies  neither change anything, or foster new developments, they simply bark to exploit whatever profit there can be from our paranoia.

The poles are in creep, the Sun is in a high output cycle, there has not been impact or volcanic activity to counteract this and so we heat up.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I support the DEATH PENALTY for gross repeat corporate offenders. I support radical funding and implementation of alternative fuel programs.

Meanwhile, the moronic democrats object to every single nuclear power plant or offshore drilling venture that would lessen our dependence on foreign oil. Our boys die and get mangled everyday in Iraq while millions flood across our border. Democrats focus on the shrinking iceburgs while republicans focus on Haji and I dispair  at anyone ever getting us out of this mess.

...kind of like how Republicans exploit our paranoia to enter warfare.

It's not like fearmongering is only done by one party.

H.L. Mencken said it best: "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed and hence, clamorous to be led to safety - by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary."

Kind shocking how easily swayed and led we are.

I agree...  but you know...  there comes a time when you have to decide whether you want to lead other people yourself or capitalize on how they're being led.

Inevitably, most people are followers and relatively stupid.  So, it's only fitting that they are continuously prodded in one direction or another.

Which is exactly why I don't fall for Al Gores message. https://i19.tinypic.com/42s1u34.gif

...and exactly why I don't fall for the warmongers' message.

In all honesty, I'm losing care in both the terrorism and climate change issues, because it seems like our demise as a species might not be such a bad thing.
