Hey, I am running BF2 on Vista(x64) with no problems other than an error I get every once in awhile between maps that causes the game to crash.  The error reads as follows..."BF2 Memory Error" "memory.dll: all alloc attempts failed for size 4119264". Any ideas as to what's causing this and/or if it is avoidable/fixable. Thanks.

check your ram for errors by running memtest86+ for a couple of laps. that would be my first bet
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

You should check your windows Vista version. On some of them, crashes like this happen. Thats why I have XP Tell me your vista version and maybe I'll be able to help you somehow.

Thanks for the replies. Blindbat, I downloaded that patch from the link. I made sure i downloaded the 64-bit version too, but it said it doesn't apply to my system when I try to install it. Who knows?
