Well, from brainstorming on IRC, Thoruz, jsnipy and I have come up with a kickass idea for a movie for 2142. I don't know who would like to help, or how we'd record it or anything, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

This has to do primarily with Northern Strike booster pack, but we could certainly extend it to vanilla. Now, keep in mind that there is a lot of room to make all of these pretty funny.

This is inspired by the BF2 mario kart video.

We could start off with a mario kart double dash type thing with the speeders being used. using mario kart music of course. going around the ramagen map, putting roller mines around and emp mines down. when someone launches one of the weapons, use the turtle shell firing noise.

Drag racing on bravaria, particularly down the hill. Would also be good on remagen, with the bridge.

Motion mine gauntlet. see who can get the farthest down a strip of motion mines with the speeder.

Long jump and high jump. FF off. rdx on the speeders and see who can get the greatest distance and height.

speeder vs. goliath chicken. this could be rather comical, especially with cutting back and forth betweeen the speeder and goliath going at different speeds.

cinematics:
the speeder race in star wars episode 1. we can put people up high taking potshots with pilums. add in the sand people yelling noise.

64 player remagen would be good for a mechwarrior inspired short clip too, with all the walkers present.

Well, i'm always game for this kind of projects.

The NS map with the bridge (the one that's broken on one side) and the Goliath would be cool to.
It has long straight stretches easy to take highspeed-corners and a elevated mid sections and bridges where people could stand.

Uhm, count me in for sure! I would love to do the driving, and I can even make/design the graphics for in the movie. I can even do some video editing, not that much, but I can cut/paste movie clips

I don't own NS, but i haven't made a movie in awhile and can handle 2142 on all highs w/ 2x AA (lags when i fly a bit, but other than that, its perfect)

and i havent booted 2142 in god knows how long, but i'm certainly interested, if you do vanilla. (i can do camera man shit too.)
