i have heard there will be new ranks but does any ne 1 have good gesuses or maibe knows what are the new reqs???? i have stuyding game files there are 9 unused ranks but 1 is blank and the 2 others are EA and DICE logos

that leaves 6 ranks colonel
one star general
2 star gerneral
3 star
4star
annd 5 star

so that means if the 3 other ranks are not put in that means they must put in a 1 st Lt
captian major and lt colonel annd that totals up to 10 NEW RANKS
BUT STILL does any one got a good ideo of what will the new point reqs be???

they wont put ranks in between 1st sgt or SM becuase they are linked together if you know what i mean

they might lower 2nd lt to 50,000 though but i doubt it it would be resanoble

SM at 40,000 points????

possibly if sergent major fo the corps was put in as a rank ppl could achieve

If you ask me, if there are comming 10 new ranks, well, none of them will come before sergeant major .

Probably the gap between sergeant major and the next rank, will be filled (a massive 150.000 points) with some ranks, and also there will be ranks further then the current max . because now the top players can't go any further and the game is only 8 months out or something lkike that .

Probably they will add a rank with something like 500.000 points ..

I'm gessing 2nd Lt. will be lowered to something like 100,000 or 150,000 points, and the ranks would go up from there.

does it really matter, the statpadder, tank-whoring 29000 ppl to 1 account names will be the 5 star generals before i hit 2nd LT. at least the booster pack looks interesting

These are the 10 new ranks that will be added when the next patch comes out:
2NDLT - Second Lieutenant
1STLT - First Lieutenant
CPT - Captain
MAJ - Major
LTC - Lieutenant Colonel
COL - Colonel
BG - Brigadier General - 1 Star
MG - Major General - 2 Star
LTG - Lieutenant General - 3 Star
GEN - General - 4 Star

Now I know that 2NDLT is already obtainable, but from what EA stated that 10 new ranks will be added in with the next patch from 2NDLT all the way up to GEN. With that said that makes 10 new ranks. Hope this answers some questions about the previous posts on what the new ranks are going to be. As far as the new reqs. will be my best guess is that as soon as we install the new patch we will jump up a rank or two like we did in the previous patch. I myself have around 54000 globals and once I install the patch Im guessing Ill be a 2NDLT or a 1STLT. I mean the ranking system is going to be adjusted for the 10 new ranks. If they kept it the same these new ranks would be pointless for me and a whole lot of other players also. It would take me forever to become a 1STLT. Right now with the schedule I have it will take me about a year to become 2NDLT so I hope the reqs will drop a bit for these. Thanks!!!

why cant they give u some extra choices like that of first sgt...say u use jets or slicks got all the badges for them so u get an airforce rank lol or tank commander for using armour...make a lot of happy whores or whores happy...special ranks for outstanding achievement....death specialist for dying the most!!! lol Major Disaster for teamkills and vehicle damage....General Motors for best engy?.....

well its nice to see other people look at things as in depth as i do... lol not sure if thats an insult or a compliment:\ but anyway im just happy that they're adding more ranks even though i wont get to most of them

Im going to be pissed if they make the 5 star general the guy w/ the hightest GS, i think it should be the best overall player, not somebody that sits in a tank, chopper or jet, but somebody that has proven themselved in all categories. Including the the foot soldiers. Is sad to see a medic whore is number 1 when i have seen guys in the 100k points range that do it all w/ any player, vehicle, enviroment.

There will need to be at least 2 more ranks as there are two new unlocks - otherwise they would have to make you wait until Sgt Major to get your last unlock!!!!!!!!

i also agreed with Metaltop because 150.000 points between a rank is a little much if you become a general then ok then it's ok
but it's just too much maybe not for the hardcore one's!! that are 2nd leu. already but not for the normal one's little too much any way Yeah New Ranks!!!

I totally agree with this guy, i mean im now at 74000 global points, and it takes me FOREVER to get to the 2nd luitenant rank. i hope it will b dropped to about 100.000 or 120.000 that would b enough dont u think? and then that they will put the next rank to 150.000 or 200.000, its just: the step between master gunnery sergeant and 2nd luitenant is WAY to big: 150.000 points! im not even going for that rank anymore, im only tryin to get some medals and other shit. So it would be nice if this would happen in the next patch.
