I think that the crewman kit should get either a carbine or SMG instead of a rifle. In my opinion that would make more sense, and it would be more realistic. Perhaps the MEC could get the AKS-74U or PP-19, and USMC/UK can get the MP5, and the Chinese get the Type 85. What do you think?

That's actually a really good idea. They only need a weapon for self defense anyway, they are suppose to be manning a vehicle not assaulting.

seriously guys the projectreality forum is not childish like official EA/BFgames forums. Whatever you suggest someone will answer you. If it has already been discussed they will tell you what has been decided. Its kind of nice to get the actual developers of the game to tell you whats what. Not some PR bullshit "we are glad you took interest in our game, you opinion matters to us etc" and crap like that.

the standard gun is the m4 you are right, but as iin every other military weapons are getting replaced and stuff like that but it's at a very slow pace.
