That is your interpretation. I will assure you that my sense of importance is not overblown. When I was 14 years old I had the misfortune of watching my parents get mugged, and murdered in front of my very eyes. It is something I rarely speak of and will speak of it no futrther in here. On my own with some help from friends parents and some family who pretended to give a fuck I made my way until I was 17 and enlisted. It was the only family I had at that point, I had nobody to congratulate me for such an accomplishment and when we graduated on Parris Island and everyone ran to their mothers and shared cigars with their fathers I quietly lifted my seabag over my shoulder, forfeited my leave time I had earned and checked into my next duty station. I vowed that from that point forward that I was going to try and do something good in the world. Something. Save one persons life or at least try to make it better. It was the healthiest way I knew how to deal with my personal tradgedy and it gave me the opportunity to fill an important void, sense of importance. I went from having nothin, absolutely freaking nothing, sharing an apartment with some community college fucks at the age of 14. Washing dishes after school and picking tobacco during the summer to pay rent. I earned everything I have now...my wife and child, my house, my vehicles, my boat, my job, my college education, my fortitude and drive, my urgency to never ever fail, all to the United States Marine Corps because the gave me a sense of importance. So what may be a chest thumping egotistacal perception you have of me, so be it. When someone takes what has literally saved my life (and many others) and drags its name through the mud, then I want to tear their fucking face off. Will I do it? Nah. But dont think for one second I would not defend the honor of the Marine corps, and its bretherin, to the death. And that I mean.

....edit: and I still dont know what a "teh 1337" is. Is it a gang of homosexuals?
