Is it true that you need a specific type of power supply to your computer. In that case how do you find out what kind you have and need?

what exactly do you mean? every computer has its own power supply, its the metal box in your pc into which you plug the cable to deliever electricity.

what kind of power supply you need depends on how much electricity your mainboard, CPU, but especially your graphicscard needs.........hope that helps ya

But I've heard that you need for example an ATX power supply to most computers or something like that
