I am not a Metallica/Metal fan. I don't mind it. St. Anger took sucking to a whole new level, especially when it comes from a legendary band.sergeriver wrote:

Deviating from the common suggestions--if you want some truly sophisticated and immaculately executed symphonic metal and power metal, you should check out bands like Nightwish and Sonata Arctica.
People who have never been exposed to that type of music often end up loving it.

I love TOOL, but really don't see them (thier later works) as "metal".
ST. Anger did suck nuts...I did like and only like "Shoot me again" from that album though....Ironic, since sergeriver said "anyone who likes St. anger from Metallica deserves to be shot".
Also MUdvayne LD50 was damn good, thier other two....meh marginal albums...

Avenged Sevenfold SUCKS ASS HOLE. If you want the fore fathers to Metal, listen to Led Zeppelin, they invented metal. Also, yeah Maiden and Priest ftw. ( I don't personally listen to them personally, but my friends are crazy for them)
