Ok i recorded Starship Troopers the other night and watched it today....

If you've seen it... How come they went to war because an asteroid came outta the bug galaxy thing? i mean.... how did the bugs launch an asteroid into space? it would be cool if someone could fill me in why they went to war because of an asteroid....

From what I can remember the asteroid (big rock thing) was quite literally fired from a really big bug’s ass and it hit Earth as a result of this.

whel, the bugs made the asteroid and with their "bugical" powers they let it go to earth, and ofc there were bugs on the asteroid but they assumable died on crash of their... "bugical asteroid" , and because they did "send" the asteroid to earth the war that was already declared on the bugs became a active war, and not war on paper anymore.. something like that

I have but it was abysmal and I cant remember anything from it except the hot naked lady

Depends on which version you're talking, the movie was a failure, the book was really good. In fact the book starts off with the main character in a combat operation against a race of aliens they call the "skinnies". I believe the skinnies appeared in the computer animated version of Starship Troopers but neither failed movie.

Starship Troopers... a commercial for war (in the movie), a great flick indeed.

Humans were colonizing their planets, or maybe just putting up outposts. The bugs got pissed, and in their infinite wisdom, deflected an asteriod in that asteriod belt and it hit Earth (don't ask me how that shit happened). Pretty stupid if you ask me, but makes for a good flick.
