Riddle thread.

Most of the people in D&ST are fairly intellectual so how about a thread with mind exercising riddles. Post one and then who ever gets it correct first will get a karma if you are feeling nice. I'll start with one we have probably all heard before and it is fairly easy to get us started. To minimize the amount of posts and maintain order we will make one rule: in order to post a riddle you must answer one first.

There is a Fox, chicken and a bag of feed on one side of a river. The farmer must get all three across the river by transporting them in a canoe , however, he can only transport one at a time. If he leaves the chicken and fox alone, the fox will eat the chicken. If he leaves the feed and chicken alone, the chicken will eat the feed. The fox will not eat the feed. How can he get them across?

take the chicken, then come back get the fox take him across but bring the chicken back then take the feed across then finally come back for the chicken

Right, but when you bring the fox over and then back over for the feed the fox will eat the chicken. The two cant be alone on either side of the river.
