oke after i experienced some problems with my connection i decided to update my xp with windows update.
Now i cannot join a server, it just crashes to the desktop when i want to Join a server.
i know there is a fix i searched but i couldnt find anything.
my conclusion is that the problem is connected to the windows update, so something is updated that has a negative effect on bf2.
pls help me

ok ive tried several things now:
update my drivers
searched for fixes

coulnt find anything and the drivers are working but my bf2 doesnt. problem still exist!

Yeah, cant you do a system restore so that the fix does not exist any more. You could then download the fix again, (there may have been a problem when Windows Update was installing the fix).

no no  this problem was hot like several moths ago, then a fix came out and everyone was happy. i remember that a few more people  had the same problem. and why should i restore, i want my security updates to be active.

I've just found the fix for this today let me find it.

       It fixed all my problems with crashing to desktop.
