I can't get BF2 to run. I have installed the game several times with and without the patch. All it does when I click the shortcut is bring up the splash BF2 screen, go black for a second, then right back to desktop. No error messages, nothing! It has never run once on this computer. WTF? I would appreciate any suggestions.
Maybe posting your specs of your computer helps, your computer might be not good enough for bf2 to run?...

OK. Yes I bought the game new. Before you guys laugh at this work computer I'll tell you that my computer I built for the game is Asus A8N32SLI duluxe mobo, 4GB ram, xp pro, evga 7900GTX 512MB, amd dual core 4400 cpu. The game rocks on it.
Now the problem is on this cheap work dell computer, P4 2.8 ghz, 512mb ram, xp home...but shouldn't it still run?!

Well that may be the problem, this cheap dell work computer has the intel 82865 graphics with 96mb! Looks like I may not be getting any play time here at work.
ya, thats probably your first problem.....then go to the ram.......you aint playing at work. sorry man.
