A long way, if ever.
It will be like supreme commander like someone else said , 1 battlesuit creating a whole army out of the elements available.
So lets say about 2316.
Whomever said supcom sucks wouldn't know greatness if it bit them in the ass.

I don't think that it will ever come.
Nintendo? God bless the makers of FPS games. The shooting will probably be by mouse, not gamepad. I'm sure my Rainbow Six: Las Vegas skills will come in very handy as a cyberwarrior.Pug wrote:

God bless you Nintendo.
and if they fall over?
Don't think of "robotic" as humanoid machines walking on 2 legs. Think of today's equipment, but controlled by a computer, not a pilot or driver.
Robots < Human: always and forever. Robots will always be limited by human ingenuity and a human will always be able to outwit a robot. As such, robots will not form the armies of the future.
This thread brings to mind the old Star Trek program where a future society had eliminated war. They did this by feeding numbers into a computer that told them how many people would have been killed if a particular scenario had been actually fought, then they marched the projected number of people killed into a machine that disintegrated them. In this way they had eliminated all the waste of war and it's destruction it also provided a way to keep the population under control in a humane manner.
Book marking for later, cause I wanna see the vid's and my internet is acting screwy... I'd say a fully robotic military will never been made cause there is no risk and wars are fought on risk. If an Robotic military was ever created I highly doubt it would be used.. People would probably just not go to war cause nothing to lose nothing to gain.
But Robotic Suites are something totally different
