Where is Scotland in the overall standings?
Well the UK is 6th and I've a feeling our Celtic brethren the Scots are responsible.Braddock wrote:

8 Year old's drinking. Damn.
I am proud to be irish! But damn.

Scotland and Wales are artificially boosting the UK's overall figures I'll bet. The Eastern European countries can put away a fair amount but they have more of a spirit drinking culture than beer or ale.
Sadly, this girl would actually be cute if she knew how to dress...unnamednewbie13 wrote:

I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something. - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.
Thats sad shit!! Why on earth would you sell alcohol to a fucking 8yr old??
I remember last time I was in Mexico. . . .I was in a cantina, and the bartenders barback was less or just about 10yrs old!! The little kid was drinking Coronas behind the bar and taking shots of patron!!! Crazy I couldnt believe it!! But then again its Mexico. . . . that place is a tad questionable with its ethics and morals!
I am a bartender myself, and I am loose about carding people. . .however if an 8yr old came up to the bar wanting a drink I would laugh in his face!! I mean cmon were not that hard up for business, fucking giving beers to kids!! jesus!!

Ever seen Beerfest??
The critics in Ireland and the UK slated that movie for suggesting America could win an international drinking competition, too much of a leap of faith for the audience apparently!Smitty5613 wrote:

Ireland rocks, now get back in your box, we have discussed this.ELITE-UK wrote:

If you look under twenty I will card you, that applies to girls and guys. . .
I have never had any trouble from the ABC or any other 3rd party regarding my carding procedures. .
We are technically supposed to card you if you look under 30, but thats just rediculous! If we are busy and a young guy or girl is asking for drinks she better have something to show me. I dont know, I dont like to card people generally, but I will if the boss/manager is there, or you just flat out look too young to be having a drink! The bar I work at is not a dive bar, so most of our clientel is young professionals and middle age folks, not teens or teens pretending to be older. . .
Honestly, I have been bartending for awhile. . .you can tell who is young and who is of age (most of the time).
OMFG!! you obviously aint been to northern ireland m8! or else sum wer in belfast!!! all our towns are fine apart from the odd teenage drunk but im sure england has a hell of a lot of those 2!!
go to port rush-portstuart-glenarm-any seaside place with remarkable scenery and premiere kite spots!! you cant slag us off cus of sum fuckwit kid that thinks is cool to drink!!!

Yeah, emphasis on most the time. I apparently look about 16, and so on entry the guy checks the card about three times, and when once I'm in I tend to get carded by security at least twice. Which is funny, 'cos I don't drink .fadedsteve wrote:

I totally believe that. Things are starting to make sense now... JKBubbalo wrote:

I saw your pic, you look young, but they shouldnt hassel you if your of age and got checked at the door. Thats bullshit!! Thats borderline harassment!Bubbalo wrote:

Why dont you drink?? Alcoholism in the family? Bad experience? too many DUI's lol?? Lost a friend to alcohol??
I was drinking in bars at 15, never got carded once. My first carding was in New York at the age of 23 and I took it as a compliment and tried to turn it into a way at getting into the barmaids knickers, which failed......
Gladly the Irish drinking culture is beginning to dissipate. It really isn't anything to be proud off.
Our hospitality, humour and large penises however are.

Ireland proud of its Alcohol consumption, child's play. What is Ireland's rate for Crack addiction? That is where the real pride is. FTWCameronPoe wrote:
