Why did you photograph the engine/body numbers?

In any case, +1 for your choice of the 1998 EL Mark II Ford Fairmont Ghia.

Also, if you're 'since 78' what's with the L-plates?

£4000 for an 8+ year old Ford would be a complete rip-off for the UK market as second hand car's are so cheap here. But it looks pretty clean. 1 careful lady owner?

Cars are bullshit expensive here mate. Compacts start at $17,000. That Fairmont new was around $38,000.

No, Holdens are a combination of everything under the GM company and a few unique Australian designs.

I don't really like the designof the car but with the tinted windows you have already started the process of pimping.  Drop the body by approx 2" (50mm), stick some alloys on it, get a kit and put some bonnett vents in. Add a aieral centered above windscreen and a few graphics on the side. Get a rear spoiler and if able neons and then you will have the best looking car in your area, all you have to do then is hope some jealous bastard don't try stealing it or damaging it.  As it stands though my favorite part is the front/bumper area.

I guess it easy for me to sit here and say, buy this, buy that when I imagine the car takes up a huge part of your budget already?

What would look wicked would be your bf2 game name and rank on the rear window I could make it for you but the postage would be too much, something like reflective silver.

One bit of advice for you (I'm guessing your younger than me) don't hit the gas/accelorator too hard and never ever show off by going fast it's not worth wrapping your pride of joy around a tree and possibly hurting yourself big time.

Good luck with your new car I hope it serves you well, looks a beauty and invest in an alarm.

Nice street btw, reminds me of Neighbours (sorry, no offence intended).

Nice car, but seriously : Who in the world still needs a 5.0L engine ? I would be broke in half a month driving that thing around in Germany. (1.25 € for a liter of gas)

No doubt it's a nice car, but it really doesn't look like the kind of machine that packs a 5-litre engine.  What the hell do you need all that for?  Australia's got speed limits, right?

Here (Ireland) insuring a 16-year-old on a car with an engine that size would be nearly impossible.  And if you did find someone to quote you, I imagine it'd be over €10,000 just for insurance.

Still, I may just be bitter, since I'm 27 and drive a Corolla with a 1.4 litre engine.  (It gets to the speed limits without any problems, I really don't need any more than that   )
