Why would anyone believe a prophecy that's vague and doesn't specify anything even apporaching a timeline to it. Every prophecy should come true eventually just based on the laws of extremely large numbers and people's wildly differing interpretations.Stingray24 wrote:
One cannot lump unchanging ancient prophecy in with date setting by modern humans. They are two very different things. I could say tomorrow Jesus is going to come back, but when it doesn't happen, that does not disprove a 2,000 year old prophecy.
there is a timeline set. the rise of the anti-Christ, the wound to his head, the finding of the arc, nuclear holocaust. *i think* it's been a while since i have been in revelations.PureFodder wrote:

I think we have little to fear from India.Mason4Assassin444 wrote:

Here is the first paragraph:
India, China and Russia account for 40 per cent of the world’s population, a fifth of its economy and more than half of its nuclear warheads. Now they appear to be forming a partnership to challenge the US-dominated world order that has prevailed since the end of the Cold War.
Are we headed for dark days and bright nights? Thoughts, comments, concerns?
China is more interested in economic dominance than military dominance.
Russia is just a shadow of its former self.
If anything, the EU is set to rival us in both economic and (in the longer run) military power. However, the military part will not develop unless we actually take a step back and force the rest of the world to defend itself.
I think it would be a good thing for groups like the EU to become better at self defense, but again, this requires us to be less interventionist. Thankfully, Canada has started to fund its military better as of late. Maybe other nations will follow.
It's funny reading this article, especially when I hear India and China being mentioned together like they're "good buds". Last year while I was in India, an uncle of mine let me have a look through his photo album of pictures he had taken in the army. The majority of the pictures were of his unit in the mountains along the India|China border, (check the maps for the areas if you wanna complain). Anways, he was up there for a few months, which is quite surprising considering he operates an artillery gun.

Africa is mostly fucked up by civil war and disease. I don't see how that really affects us though.Smitty5613 wrote:

You guys can all go off and fight each other, I'll just sit here in my secluded nuclear-free corner of the Pacific while the rest of the world turns to glowing dust. Once most of the world's population is dead, New Zealand will be the next superpower!! Its a dastardly plot, I tell you, kiwi ingenuity at its finest

Nuclear-free Zone
I'd join your superpower though. I hear you have great skiing.
