When I read this statement I felt that it summed up the self indulgance of a lot of christians. Do you think that just bcause I don't believe in God that I don't follow the teachings of the Bible? Of course I do, the Bible is correct in a lot of what it says, especially about how one should treat others. Just because a christian accepts that God is real does not mean that they always follow the teachings of Gd. Likewise someone who dosn't believe does not mean that they "flaunt in the face of ths wisdom".

I don't believe that God created Heaven and Earth, I don't believe that we all sprung forth from Adam and Eve and I don't believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God.
However, I do believe in the morals of the Bible because these morals are important to all humanity, regardless of faith or lack thereof. These morals were not created by God or the Bible or any form of religion, these things only show the assertion of these morals which is indeed important, but by no means essential to someone being a good person and living a good life.

Turning your back on God does not mean turning your back on morality.

We are going to war against them for the very reason of them just not cooperating with being arrested. I dunno why.

WE need to force countries to arrest terrorists!!!??? Here is a novel plan...........How about each country take the responsibility THEMSELVES, to police for terrorists. I have said this shit since day one bubbalo. ( you were busy filtering it out obviously)This war can be won if all countries offered no safe harbor for terrorists or their financing. Oh, and to keep it on topic, I think Ben Franklin would agree.

Yes, but rather than work towards a global coalition against terrorism, the US has only served to further divide the world and alienate countries who could become allies.

Yes, countries that did not want us to go into Iraq because it would fuck up their business plans with Saddam. Sorry about that.

Ah, you completely misunderstood me. I'm not Christian. Or at least, anymore. What I was talking about by "Flaunt in the face of this wisdom" was that he believed in respecting all religion and not taking religion to such extreme levels. That even if you don't believe that Jesus is Son of God (I doubt he is), there is not harm in people believing that he is.

I believe that there might be a God out there, and he might have a had a hand in creating the world in which we live. I believe that it really doesn't matter who you pray to, how you pray to him/her/it, whether or not you pray, Whether you follow a doctrine or not.

What I think matters is that you try and live a life that is just according to your own sense of morals, not those preached to you from a pulpit. That you should respect all religions, but you don't have to believe in any of them.

I wasn't trying to be preachy, I'm sorry if you took it that way. In fact, I was trying to show exactly what you described.

Absolutly nothing, terrorism was not the reason for recommencing hostilities, upholding the UN resolutions was.

Terrorism became an issue after Saddam was taken out. They were afraid that people actally might get a quality of life and free will in that region. Can't let that happen, good job supporting that idea by the way.

And by invading Iraq you have made terrorists stronger, whilst promoting dis-unity amongst their foes.  They played you like a finely tuned instrument, and all you can do is blame everyone else.

How are we supposed to do that? Send a letter to them? I guess if that doesn't work, we can send a REALLY angry letter that will show them how angry we are! I'm sure the Taliban would have just handed over a bunch of terrorists if we asked them nicely.

The US has more money and a more powerful army than anyone else on the planet.  Use your imagination.

But you didn't.  You ran around shooting your guns.  As the Spartans are well aware, the really good armies rarely fight.

yeah ok,  bubbalo, we are not at war on terrorism. Good people are not dying in this fight ( in case you are confused, I meant coalition troops as the good people).

Maybe you sling your dick over your shoulder when you type, it might keep you from tripping over it all the time when you post shit.

You try and tell me all we are doing is running around shooting our guns, and claim YOU are smashing your head against a wall. Please.
