Turtles, turtles! I tell you!Smithereener wrote:
Good man.
Shouldn't be in the news? Just because he did the "right thing?" Most people will undoubtedly not go through all that trouble to return anything. Why does this deserve to be on the news? Because in a time where both new and old generations seem to lack morals, one person does something outstandingly selfless. Yes, everyone should be doing the right thing, but who really does?
I've never meet an inmoral turtle. These creatures are always doing the right thing. Slowly crawling towards the food bowl, plowing through woodlands in search of Turtle Las Vegas and free parking. I've never been held up at gun point by a turtle! But..there Sudoku maniacs and have a fondness for Bingo parlors.
Thats news man.
He said that this shouldn't be in the news because he did something that people should be doing anyway.Bubbalo wrote:

I was saying that it did deserve to be on the news because although its something people should be doing but they aren't. So it's remarkable that someone has the character to return a bag of diamonds back to the person that left it behind. So if someone were to be helping out another person (because that's what we should all be doing, right?) when no one else was doing anything, he doesn't deserve any mention because that's something he should have been doing anyway?
No, he said that this should be so normal that it isn't newsworthy.Smithereener wrote:

I guess rereading more than three times does help. I dunno, I read it from one angle, I get what I initially thought of. Then I read it again, then (finally) see what you mean.Bubbalo wrote:

Agreed. Those diamonds were likely worth at least $30K, probably more. If she gave him a 2% tip on the ride, she should at least give him $600 for 2% of 30K.Reciprocity wrote:
'ooh, my $30K bag of diamond rings, thanks hadji, here's a Benjamin.' -what a cunt. she probably opened it up right there and counted every one. I would have given him at least a grand.
