Mr. Edwards is already full of shit. Why elect him? Most of the other dirt bag politicians we elect (whatever party) at least lie to us and then screw us over later when they get elected, this guy apparently has no shame. Whats next? Going around the country preaching about global warming in Nancy's 757? We could flame this 1,000 different ways and talk about other politicians who lead extavagant lifestyles, but why does Edwards deserve the American vote? Discuss

We are dicks arent we, but I think politicians are taking the dickness to a new level. I think it was ATG who said it in another post, he said our forefathers set up the constitution not predicting we would have professional politicians. It is kicking our ass hundreds of years later.

Well, one thing is for sure... Plenty of politicians don't give a shit about the poor, and they don't bother with trying to hide it. You'll find most of them in the corporate conservative camp. They also don't give a shit about the middle class.

Whatever the case, Edwards's wealth is just another example of the kind of money it takes to run for president. America is simply a plutocracy, so don't deceive yourself into thinking you have a choice of candidate to actually represent you.... well, unless you're rich yourself. If that's the case, then you're in luck.

We just pretend the federal government is a democratic republic, but it's really just an arm of corporations and lobbyists. Elections are a fun little facade though, aren't they? The media eats it up, while the idiotic masses bicker with each other over issues that don't mean anything, like gay marriage.
