The easiest way is on a 64 player map, with 30-32 people playing as they have 300 tickets, so it's unlikely that you'll run out of time before getting the 7 you require.  Any map with alleyways to run up behind people and stab them is best, but I got mine on Karkand (& pistol).  If you're really struggling, then you can get basic & vet in one go as both need only 7 kills IAR, but make sure you have at least 43 knife kills overall to ensure you get vet at same time.  Keep stabbing!!

About 9 people on a 32 player server, Karkand, as MEC.
First round, I got 6.
Second round, I got 13.

With only 9 people, was a bit different game.  There was no swarming, no charging in.
Both sides had to cover all aspects of the map.  One lone USMC could sneak by and take flags.

I didnt intend to go for the knife this week.  I came around the corner, and the first guy, had jumped out of his APC right before one of the MEC had blown it up. I got him as he lay prone facing the hotel.  Ran around the block, behind the wooden fence, back under the burning APC by the tree, and lo and behold, a medic is reviving him.  So, 2 more.  At this point, I'm thinking, you already have 3 knife kills, why not try the other 4. I hear one of our guys blow their arty.  I sneak up and wait. Engineer. Dead.  Medic.  Dead.  Guy spawns, runs down toward the hotel.  In the back as he goes through the fence.  I take a mag to the back.  Spawn on hotel, climb on little roof to get focus.  Up climbs a USMC. Knife in the face.  Cool music, badge.

I politely thanked both sides for being so accomodating.  Then went back to shotgunning.
Picked up the other 6 in various places.

I don't have 50 total knife kills yet, so will get the rest and go for 7 one afternoon.

You do NOT have to pad to get knife.  Those that claim you do, can't.
Basic pistol came on evening in Devils perch.  I had just unlocked the new shotgun for engineer.  Well, its a bitz to reload, and just in the nature of play, I got my 5 kills.  Actually surprised me in the middle of a firefight.

I already had the pistol badge.  It wasn't all that hard to get either.  I got it without trying in the same round as I got my basic command badge.

What sucks is that it seems to take forever for it to switch to Karkand and when it does, the rounds go by really fast because of the constant battle between the hotel and the U.S. hill.  Plus, i've only seen like 2 24/7 Karkand servers ever.

damn right!

i wasnt even trying to get it.
-gulf of oman, 64players.

i guess i kinda 'stat padded', i was sneaking into the base to blow up MEC artillery and i noticed a guy AFK, so i just shot him. i then went and blew up the arty and as i was coming out the AFK guy had respawned and immediatly i thought 'what a perfect time to get the knife badge'. i only stabbed 3 times then i was under fire but i managed to stab another 4 more without dying.

it can be difficult to get, but just wait for the right time, IT WILL COME

Hi,
It is possible to get 18 kills in a round. I didn´t thought it could, too. Until I got it. It doesn´t happen every day. Many factors have to get together .. excellent ping, long term round ... and of course a little bit of luck.
I get my expert badge at Shargi Peninsula map, in the MEC team. Especially at the city gate controll point ( first point) many snipers try to stop the MEC troups.
And with little bit of luck you could catch many of them, `cause they´re mostly just lookin´ in direction of the road.
After getting that point, try at the roof of the TV station. There are also many snipers and guys waitin´ for the helicopter.
Always run straight to the enemy without creepin´ or anything like that.
1 to 2 kills a round are totally okay
Be patient ... the perfect round will come, sometime.
Good luck!

I hope it does, this piece of shit I have to work with pisses me off when I least want it to.  If I just had a little bit more processor speed I would be a ble to play this like everyone else and on higher quality.  Which is why i'm going to buy an Alienware computer when I get a job.  I highly doubt i'll get it when I least expected.  My luck sucks a lot and just doesn't work that way.  It has lined up a few times but I completly fuck it up all the time.  I was playing 32-player Karkand a couple of hours ago as MEC, we only had the base across the river.  I walked across the shallow water to the U.S. side while an arty strike is happeing and I see a sniper behind a crate on one of the railroad cars as well as 2-3 other guys wwalking around unaware of me.  He has noticed me makes a good no-scope, I jump up and try to knife BUT I CAN'T REACH OF COURSE, and I duck and try to move around and get up but i'm freaking out and starting to get pissed at myself for not being able to do this.  I'm stuck under the car so it won't let me get up and the nearest soldier shoots and kills me.  4 OPPORTUNITIES AND I COULDN'T EVEN FUCKING GET ONE!!!  I have no manner of luck at all.

I got mine tonight on Karkand, admittedly I went into the round with the knife badge in mind and just decided to have it out and use it whenever I could, but I didnt just charge stupid at enemies really, just kept moving and watching and waiting and dived at them when the opportunity arose. I got my first knife kill when the round had just started, and the last about 30 tickets from the end, and got my badge. Which is cool, I now have everything I need to get first sergeant at next promo, wo0t.

Got my basic badge in Karkand with 64 players. I was on MEC side and I went to the hills to stab snipers. Vet badge I got in Mashtuur City with 64 player. I got the last kill in a knife duel and I managed to kill the guy just few seconds before round ended

Got my two badges, (same time,) on 'Mass Destruction.'
My tip is, always be ready to pull out your knife. I don't agree with those who feel that having the knife out all the time is the way to go. You can't knife people when you're dead.
Carry your primary weapon, but if opportunity arises - such as someone not seeing you, or finding yourself behind someone, take out your knife quikly, like a switchblade, knife your opponent and pull out your primary weapon again. You'll surprise yourself at how many opportunities you'll find. You'll find at least enough to get seven in a round I reckon.

I'll just get my brother to set me up.  I don't think i'll mind if the last badge (knife badge) I need for 1st Sergeant was a setup since I deserve it anyway.  I got 6/7 kills and a round and it should be 6 anyway.

Basic and veteran are veeery easy... I still don't have my expert though. Once got 17 kills, I could say I wasn't very happy

It's not easy for most people to get.  Maybe it was for you but not for most people.  You are eaither saying this simply because it was easy or to make yourself sound like you're good.  I know i'm just stating the obvious but i'm a little bit tired of the pointless gloating from people who actually did have a hard time getting it themselves.

No, they were statpadding to get revives. Teamkills don't count as kills, you can imagine the chaos if people killed their own team mates to get a positive kill/death ratio or something.

I got both at the same time on a 32 player Karkand, as a lot have said. I didn't worry about getting the badge  until I had logged the 50 kills so I could get both at the same time. That takes the stress off and you get better at stealth. I was USMC on karkand, got both in the first 7 or 8 minutes of the round  - our team still had over 160 tickets left!  Keep trying, it will happen!
