Hmmm, not sure about the music, but the video was pretty good. I'm going to love that Frogfoot.

Anyways, give this man some karma. PR is pretty fun.

That is a damn sweet vid. Now if only my computer could run it on those kinds of graphics.

We're into the final stages of the v0.5 release of Project Reality. Sometime before midnight in Honolulu on Thursday we should have links up for the server and client.

Server will be released earlier than the client and weighs in at about 65 mb.  Client will be a full installation, weighs in at about 1.6 gb and requires that you uninstall v0.4 before installing v0.5.

Hey rage something you could look at for me...

I down loaded PR 0.4 something tried to install and it told me no drive found....I have 2 x 320 hds in a RAID 0 array but the drive shows as " I " all my other stuff installs fine just PR wont...shame as it looks awesome...any ideas??

is patch scheduled for tomorrow, or am i dreaming things again ?, btw 0.4 rocks !! gj to all the PR team

looks awesome, where is the best place to download the full game if you never played it before.

I have seen some videos of PR, the maps look a lot bigger. Does this mean system requirements might be higher than vanilla BF2?

I haven't got any of them were can i download the whole thing.

YES!!

Project Reality v0.4 has higher system requirements than any previous release of Project Reality. One significant contributor to this is the size of the maps in this release. Many of the maps are much larger than typical BF2 maps. Additionally we are trying to stretch the view distances in the game as much as possible (real world conflicts don't take place at 100m ranges shrouded in fog).

However, as of version # 0.406 (the public release version of v0.4), there are some performance issues that need addressing. We intend to address those in a future patch.

At a quick summary here is what we think are reasonable guidelines for playable performance in Project Reality:

1gb RAM + 128mb VRAM = low settings
1gb RAM + 256mb VRAM = medium settings
2gb RAM + 256mb VRAM = mixed medium and high settings
2gb RAM + 512mb VRAM = high settings

Yeah, PR maps tend to have more/higher undergrowth, and more overgrowth so it can get to be a little more taxing..

Strangly enough though Ive noticed it runs better on my comp then BF2, and have heard quite a few others say the same...

God you guys make it hard to be patient...


BTW You guys have done an awesome job promoting this new release, V.50 seems to be more anticipated then Christmas.


I love the look of the full squad popping out from the doors on the APC, I new you would have to enter at the doors but I didn't even think about how much better it makes the exits looks....
Im waiting to see if the door really works on the merlin like in the video, it will be an amazing effect if it does...
