OK I just started playing SF and I have a question(I like SF BTW) OK I know sometimes when you get the drum roll and it awards you your badge(A great feeling!) I know that it may take a while before it shows up on your stats...no problem you know you got it coming.

My deal is twice I have got enough kills for my anti-tank basic combat badge, and once for engineer basic combat badge. And no drum roll no nothing...nada

And yes I am playing on ranked servers only...has anyone else seen this in SF?

Thanks in advance

Yep I know about needing more kills, I had over 13 in three instances I'm talking about. I don't know how to link, actually I forgot how. But don't mind you telling me

My stats are the same name as here...don't laugh though!

Yeah, for example, in regular BF2 you need 10 kills for basic engie, but in SF you need 11 kills

Well...for one click on "profile" at the top...then go to 'messaging' and enter your BF2 player id number there...that way we can just click on your post to see your stats.

For your badges....keep at it.  Sometimes it just takes a couple of rounds for you to get them.  Make sure you are getting the 11 kills in a round with that one kit.  Oh....go sit in an airplane for 10 minutes in a round so you can get your basic aviator!

I was mainly just curious if SF had these kind of bugs, because I stayed the same kit for enough kills...I did grab another kit if needed but only when I had to help out.

It's the weekend-stats-not-updating thing probably.  My stats aren't updating either tonight.....so I feel your pain.

Yep but are you meaning you didn't get the drum roll in game?...cause that's what I'm saying, if it said I got it in game I wouldn't worry about it.

Oh....gotcha.

Stupid question.......buuuuut.......you are playing SF to get these badges, right?  You won't get SF badges in vanilla BF2.

Yes I'm playing SF...I guess I just experienced some type of glitch. Thanks for the help I'll keep trying.

Believe me if I would have gotten the drum roll and badge in game I wouldn't have bothered you guys, I know that can take time.

Thanks

Its most likely something to do with these topics:

The game didnt even register the kit he was playing (yet he had enough kills for expert AT, but the game didnt even register the kit)
http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=55739

When I had it, no screenshots to prove it, but it always happens
http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=48766

DICE thinks that 86+53 (which = 139) is more than 140 to earn a gold medal.

Whereas the last one was in vanilla and has nothing to do with kit logging, the others were all in SF - and all didnt log the kits properly (and resulted in the loss of an expert kit badge).
This probably has something to do with it. If it happens again, check the end of round stats (if you were in top 3) and see if your kit selection ties up with the top score table.

I might be going way out on limb here but

Was it a ranked server ?

If so - good luck !
There have been a few times I had to get an extra kill or two for medal to show.

Thanks Snake, I'll just keep trying, maybe I won't switch kits. Just stick to the same one the whole round, but I hate to play that way.

BTW you're pretty good, I am hardly ever in the top 3.
