Anyone can help me how to set my computer,coz everytime i play BF2 when verify data it takes me long time to wait! And when i play single player it is fast but online is really slow!
My computer :
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
SATA 120G 7200rms
2G RAm
6800GT AGP (256MB 256BIT)

even my mates computer which is worse than me takes fewer time!

There are many things which can affect the time taken to verify data. Your graphics settings, the higher they are, extend the time for verification. The speed of your HDD. How fragmented your HDD is.

Try lowering your settings to low, and defragging your HDD and see if the tme is cut.

My setting is all lowest except terrain ,effects texture and geometry r medium!
My ram speed is 400MHZ

Try deleting all the content of My documents/Battlefield2/cache and Logocach

You say geometries is set to medium.  I would try setting this to low, as this seems to be the factor which takes the longest time to load.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

I had the same problem. Delete your online profile then retrieve it again. You MUST remember your password or you will have to start over as privet.  That would suck.

Everytime your video settings have optimized, there are new settings saved, delete them all, defrag, and reoptimize, should help.
