Because the US is a relatively tolerant country were people make compromises to accommodate others.
Saudi isn't and doesn't. Keep setting a good example and keep shipping them tanks, everyones happy.

It's the same reason us Americans have to press 1 to listen in English. Beyond ridiculous. We're bending over backwards to accomodate other peoples beliefs, yet we're still ridiculed for it. In Houston, where I grew up, all the street signs on Bellaire Rd. are in Korean/Japanese/some Asian writing. What if twenty thousand americans moved to China and demanded English street signs and such? They'd be deported I bet.

Same goes with the rest of the world. They're taking advantage of us, plain and simple.

Don't get me wrong, I have NOTHING against immigrants, but if they move to a whole different country when it comes to religion and laws, they just have to accept the fact that they're not in their old country anymore. They have to adapt to the new land they choose to live in, and accept that it's a different culture with different views on life.

I wouldn't feel secure as a teacher nor a child if the children were carrying around daggers in school, ceremonial or not.

PS: It's Canada, Quebec, Montreal! They are for sure more tolerant than the average of the US.

I'm not sure if you all are familiar with the fact that assimilation does not equate to a complete lose of your cultural background, and rightfully so. The officer made an obvious racist ethnic generalization in his song, and he will be punished. I can understand if you go to communist china you cannot start demanding that signs be placed in English for that is just not likely since you will constitute such a small fraction of the population that it will help only what....you? While on the other hand America does have great diversity as such accommodation to this diversity is just and proper anyone thinking otherwise is just not understand the fact that this country does not have an obligation to force others to speak a certain language. In terms of customs that violate local law this is obviously not going to be tolerated, but you don't go making a song about it and generalization the population, you simply punish them!

I am not meddling in any countries business. I never said anything about Canada and their policies did I? Please show me where I said ANYTHING about the Canadian laws or decisions?
