Hi guys, could u please give me an indication about the ability of this system to run bf2 smooth? Im thinking about buying it, will it be able to run bf2 at 1024/768 at high settings smoothly?

Specs:

Acer Aspire T180
AMD Athlon 64 X2 DC 3800+
1024 MB DDR2 SDRAM
nVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE - 512 MB
320 GB Serial-ATA 7200 RPM

No, because of the graphics card and the 1 GB of RAM. You´ll hopefully run in mid settings.

agreed, get a better video card, the 7300 LE's are relatively weak, regardless of how much memory they have (they have a small number of pixel pipelines). more ram would also help.

Never, EVER EVER! buy a pre-compiled computer, buy the parts and build it yourself, you'll save lots of money.

As for the above question.

EAX1600Pro 512
nVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE 512
Radeon 9600Pro 256

I'm personally upgrading to a R630 when it comes out in May (well, when the prices have dropped a bit.)

Kind of a waste to buy DX9 right now.

unless you're on a budget, i strongly recommend paying an extra 30 and getting at least a 7600gs or equivalent ati card. the cards you have listed are slow and have barely enough throughput (pipelines) to make them worthwhile. they are better than onboard video, but not good enough to give you great performance on today's games. i'd expect mediocre performance on medium to low settings.

the 1600 is your best bet, the other two don't have the power that you need.
