I wonder what that green "o" does when you're starting your chopper, taking off, and when you're landing...

does it have a function?

I've wondered the same thing myself and I just think I figured out what it is: a movement tracker.

If it's way down low, you're moving upwards quickly. If it's way up high, you're falling fast. Or is it the other way around?

If I'm right, it's so you can land without pancaking.

The circle is the hover indicator.  It should be centered on your HUD when hovering.

oh... well first i also thought it wasa hover indicator... but i couldnt reallly use it as a hooverindicator while flying

wondered what it is myself, it doesn't appear to be hover alingment indicator to me however, it never appears when i'm hovering. only when i'm close to the ground. perhaps it's a gound marker?
