well i suppose we have all learned our lessons.
from now on, as per ghettos suggestion, we shall only debate issues on THE day they happen.
after that all topics that are posted NOT on the historical date should be deleted?!
i suppose that means we get to hear ALOT less from all the europeans that feel they need to mouth off about issues that have nothing to do with them?

i personally think that the to atom bombs dropped over japan wasnt right...sure it ended the war and saved hundreds of thousands of allied lives, but klling innocent japanese people is just no right. and also it spawned a bomb so powerful it cound destroy us all.

I was more trying to say that vague topics saying essentially (no disrespect ATG) "I'm sad this happened" and don't really have much scope for debate have more place on the anniversary of the event than just at some unconnected time, which then are naturally (in the case of 9/11) followed up by "I was sitting in class doing this that and the other when it happened". Not much of a debate IMHO. However, you're more than welcome to disagree with me, that was just how I felt about it.

well i do disagree with how you attempted to make your point with this issue and that you say, in this case regarding 9-11, that it shouldnt be a topic to debate about. every person in the united states was affected that day, and a persons mourning should not be limited to one day. not a day goes by in this country without some assholes on the news happily counting off the american dead in an attempt to undermine the CINC yet again. talking about this issue helps people to remember what needs to be done to protect ourselves.
now when i say this i am NOT trying to be an asshole, but you dont even live in this country, what difference is it to you?
