Im not being horrible, or even meant to sound that way, but you shouldn't dwell on the past, by all means remember it instead you should look to the future.

i did actually say "by all means remember it."
I felt no terror, none at all. I had about 5 seconds of disbelief and then after that it turned into rage, burning seething rage that has never died. I hate those extremist bastards with a passion.

9/11 changed all of our lives forever. I was a freshman in highschool, 5th day of school, exactly one month after moving from California to Virginia. Before that day, I knew of violence in the world, and of small things like Columbine, but i thought I was on the whole safe. The terrorists changed that forever. In a matter of minutes I aged years as my naive and sheltered views of the world around me were utterly shattered. My father was supposed to be on the flight that hit the pentagon, but postponed it due to complications back in California. We could see the smoke from the pentagon later in the day. It hit home real hard that day. I will never forgive the people who did that, I will never forgive the people who celebrated and rejoiced on that day.
That really put things into perspective for me. I watched The Daily show nearly nightly. I saw that show live and it was so weird to see something you turned to for humor be so serious and emotional.Elamdri wrote:

I really don't know. It's just a reminder of 9/11. ATG thinks that everyone is going to forget about it or something. That or he wants everyone to remember this and forget about the other fucking million terrorist attacks that have happened before and after that in other countries. I don't know.

I can't see why people get irritated with this. It's not like I would question anyone reminding us what happened July 2005. If you are uninterested in the thread move along. The Internet will not cease to exist because you come across a topic that means nothing to you. You waste more time posting than simply hitting the back button on your browser. The Airbus or Boeing topic seemed pretty silly to me. So guess what?.. I didn't get involved in it.

I still remember sitting in my grade 8 class when my teacher came in and informed us what happened. We all went to the library and watched CNN for the rest of the day. It was a day I will never forget and it has an affect on all of us.
