Dolfin Diving dosnt work too, and neither does C4 ramming, stats padding, bunny hopping around with a F2000GL, Spawn Camping, Base Raping, and u cannot do a map vote or kick vote. Also, there are no admins, so say whatever word u want. Dont try getting 7 knife kills, your heli cant stand more than a missile, and dont choose to be the medic. Good luck man, remeber that its not BF2.

OK, i'm probably going to get totally 'flamed' as they say and have alot of random insults thrown my way but i have to ask. What exaclty do you think you are fighting for? Huh, OK, 'flame' away.

The very existence of armaments and great armies psychologically accustoms us to accept the philosophy of militarism. They inevitably increase fear and hate in the world.

Where is it written in the Constitution, in what article or section is it contained, that you may take children from their parents and parents from their children, and compel them to fight the battles of any war in which the folly and wickedness of the government may engage itself?

I'm sorry I didn't see this post earlier.  All the best troop.

If you have internet at your post and see this, where did you end up?  I was over for 16 months at the beginning of the war and lived in several different bases.  Mostly west of Baghdad.  I bet they are a lot different now.

Not to imply that he doesn't have a view, but; he is an American serviceman.  He goes where he is told to go, and does what he is told to do.  It's called duty.

Would you have the alternative?  A military that evaluates the objectives it is given and then decides whether or not to comply?  In a free society that is generally considered to be a bad thing, as militaries that reject the objectives of the civilian leadership, tend to act on their own objectives as well.  The latter is definately a bad thing (see; Junta).

That is a VERY good point (I don't believe in the draft myself), but a bit out of place in this thread.  That servicman (and all the rest of the Americans in Iraq) volunteered to serve.  Because of people like him, we don't need a draft which would force you to serve also.

Edit:  My mistake - I don't KNOW that he is an American.  But if he is British or Australian (and probably a few others as well) everything I said is still applicable.

I can't tell whether you are saying this is a good thing or not. But yes, i realise the last part of my post is kinda out of place in this thread, but i got bored and didn't want to be too agressive in an anit-war sentiment due to wanting to avoid a long stream of insults. However, i would still like to say i hope this soldier returns safe and has a kill count of zero.

DUTY, n. A concept of slaves, a tool of tyrants. Doing what other people want you to do because they want you to do it.

It is good that we have people willing to serve without regard to their personal safety or political preferences.  Without such people, a free society would be impossible.

Lest anyone believe that is an actual definition:

As I noted above, the soldier serves his country faithfully; the causes are determined (for good or ill) by elected officials.  It cannot be otherwise if the military is to be subordinate to civilian authority; which, I think you would agree, is a good thing.
