Am I wrong? Do you NOT get any points for defusing mines??
No.
Hmmmmmmm.......Wonder why not?
You get the satisfaction of helping your mates! Isn't that points enough... isn't it?
Why should you get points for that??
It takes all of 0.5 seconds.
I want points for placing APM `s .....
Wait behind the line ..............................................................
You might prevent one of your teammates from getting blown the fuck up.Negerkungen wrote:

You do if someone walks into it.Varegg wrote:

I though of that...thats true!
They could do a badge for it (ence the will to use it!) I think it has something to do with teamwork and engi basic action

A badge for defusing a mine? Are you joking me?
Look at me, I can defuse mines without blowing my face up! That deserves a badge!

LOL, yeah, I want points for everytime an enemy vehicle shows up on my pds-1 and for evertime I spot an enemy gunship for our pilot(s).
Thought exactly the same! A +10 pin for disarming might people actually use the disarm tool, and gives a whole new role to play (people hunting down silo's to disarm mines).thefousteph wrote:

It forces the people who lay mines to be more creative also.
i diffuse the mines without worrying about whether it'll get me points because i happen to be a bit of a team player. i find it to be one of the more useful tools in the game.
Remember Me As A Time Of Day
Mine defused (Using Defuser), or destroyed (Zeller-H, RDX) doesn't give me direct points, but it gives me indirect points by helping team out, in turn putting myself in a advantageous position for getting more points.
You don't need to diffuse mines you just need a few brain cells to walk around them
While on the subject, don't you guys feel that there should be a sound effect for defusing the mine? Right now it's like erasing the mine from a picture with a brush.

I wouldn't care if I got NEGATIVE points for defusing something, It's worth enough to see a recon in the titan push the button for his RDX and nothing to explode.
PLUS THE RANGE IS AWSOMEEE!!!!

Now its 10m, before it used to be like 1m...HUNDaemon wrote:

Duh. The only reward you get is not being blown up by it. That should be more than enough.Darth_Rambo wrote:

anyway, think about this- say someone has RDxed your console, and you defuse the RDX. that must be the best part of BF2142. and then give them a few SMG rounds to the face ( or a pilum round to the face or something, just as long as you kill them)
