VOIP problems

hi there, whenever i try to play with VOIP on, about five mins into the game it suddenly cuts out. The little sound icon next to my name dissapears. I can see this happen to noone else. I have tried alt-tabbing and turning off mute microphone, but this dosent help. I turn on VOIP before I start a game but when i press escape to go back it is off, and i cant switch it back on. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I have two different headsets that I have tried using, so it is not the Headphones that are broken, since i can hear myself fine using sound recorder.

Any help would be great.

hey little mikey

i have the same thing happen to me but generally people can still hear mey when i speak into the mik.

just try joining a squad and asking if anyone can hear you, but try a couple of different squads because not everyone has a mik, or have their settings just right to hear you...

Dosent work, sorry, when I pust the talk key no icon appears, and I cant hear any of my teammates, i was in a squad where everyone was using VOIP but then it cut out, I couldent hear them and they couldent hear me, all other game sounds were working fine however.

I have exactly the same problem its extremly frustrating going over all the VOIP setup stuff but then BF2 turns it off and It can't be turned on when connected to a server, so you disconnect and turn it on, reconnect AND IT GETS TURNED OFF by the game. Makes me wanna rip my hair out. So Please help.

Check make sure your Mic is not Muted in control panel. Also have you looked at this? Make sure you set up VOIP in settings first ( root BF2 ) also have a look at this thread.
