I think the EU are far more likely to fill the role the US plays. The EU has a much bigger economy than China (or the US for that matter) as well as a much stronger military (small compared to the USs though).UGADawgs wrote:

I would think that now that the world is becoming more globalized, that the idea of a superpower will and should go away. It would be a lot easier to take care of business if it was not limited to one country, but multiple countries participating. I think that's why this poll is significant - to highlight opposition. Irregardless if you agree or disagree on Iraq, the overall consensus on the action would have prevented massive opposition. In fact the BBC have special independent commitees to try to keep their stuff as unbiased as possible, which I think is highly commendable.
