the point of EA giving the snipers a zip instead of a hook is to keep the game a bit more balanced .... there is no use in being in a squad for snipers if they got a hook thats the great thing I usually join with a buddy and 1 chooses something with a zip and 1 with a hook and the rest goes medic/support

HMm, good topic Guys, being a player who hates Snipers (Nasty sneaky little pervs) I feel that i always must play as one in order to eliminate them , Now most of these horrid peeps hide on buildings whereas i like the deep bush approach (clean minds please Gents) or the balcony`s, . A Zip can be a pain in ther rump for getting to the said balcs so i would welcome a grapple to either select at start up or set as defualt. As for asking teamates....your havin a Giraffe mate
I actually quite like the zip line. Means i can pretty much capture all flags in warlord without touching the ground, almost not entirely.
Warlord looks like a map that is made for the zip line lol

That's why I hate BF2 being in the hands of EA.
Their doing it again with 2142. Making a quick buck out of a "booster pack". They should let peopel download it free. Like Valve let new maps / skins be downloaded for free. There's a thousand reasons why CSS is #1 online game for player base... BF2 is an awesome game but the corporate approach just doesn't work.
Just imagine if SF was available free for download. How cool would it be to be able to play a few round of vanilla then Ghost Town pops up? Or Warlord and Karkand after each other for some desert loving! lol.
Just a real pity. Thankfully us players have brains and there are some SF servers still out there. I hope they stay around for as long as I'm playing BF2!

snipers should have......................neither. They should have a sniper rifle, and thats it. Maybe a knife. They should also have a big glowing orange suit so you can take out those annoying little fuckers without even trying so you can actually play.

lol both ? .... How advantaged do you want them 2 be ? then they will all just lone I quiet often take at when I'm in a squad with snipers & meds so we can reach everywhere we want 2 ... if you give snipers both you should take away the sniper rifle

I think that absolutely no because all classes should have the hook in some way. Theese tea baggin snipers would put their ass on every god damn roof and hide there.
zip line better imho cuz we can move from place to place much faster... Hooks are good for 'one roof campers'
I think YES .... i mean : the hook seems made for the snipers and sf..... as for me they should remove the zip and give hook to all classes.
