Sorry I've been gone so long, Battlefield 2 petered out for me.... not sure what I've been spending my time doing.

Anyway, the car was totaled 5 days before Halloween by a semi-truck. I was hit while driving through a busy part of town, trashed the outside of the car, but most of the damage was done to the interior bits like the frame.

Insurance paid me the car's value and a little more due to the work I put into it. I put that money toward buying a newer Outback... from there I transfered the roofrack and reprinted the graphics. The new car was finished mid-december, just in time for the big Colorado blizzards. Because it's a freakin' all-wheel drive car, we spent our time driving around 'saving' people; pulling their cars out of drifts, digging out their houses and cars, generally helping people out.

Lots of stuff going on.... I can't believe this thread is still here!

It's a 2003 so it is in MUCH better shape than the original car. We thought about doing sort of a taxi service around town, specialty events and whatnot.

Turns out our town has some communist anti-competition law left over from the railroad monopoly days of 1870s Colorado, and we'd have to pay a ton of cash just for a license.

That and drunk people tend to tear all the interior wires into a clusterbum of a mess.

Instead we run around and just wave at the drunks... we give rides to people who find us online.

We have to lock the doors when we sit at intersections because we've had incidents where people (mostly women) just get into the car.

We don't mind it that much

Yeah, I didn't have the roofrack mounted at the time, which most people say is very lucky but I believe that had I had the satellite dish, antennas, and giant orange lightbar on the car, he would have seen me.

Anyway, some lady was in front of me, looking for parking spaces in the middle of the street (sort of a downtown area)... she found one, slamming on her brakes to pull into the spot. I was travelling slowly to begin with, I came to complete stop quite easily. I looked in my rearview mirror and saw a gigantic International grill bearing down on me.... last thoughts were "oh, this is gonna suck."

Truck smashed into me, lady took off. Oh well, I guess.

Last month's Red Rocks Subaru meet... over 230 cars showed up, I recieved tons of emails afterwards stating that the Ecto was the coolest car there. There was, actually, a ferrari driving around the meet, but I am not sure the people that sent me the emails knew about that
