On one hand, people might think suicide is completely selfish and wouldn't understand the reasons for someone doing it.  You need to understand that while workarounds are perfectly clear to you, the suicidal are undergoing some kind of depression or emotional duress that doesn't let them see them.  Some emotions and torments build and build over the years, and tide over to a snapping point when they can no longer cope with them.

Some people are set that they will never get better; never move on; that they just can't take it, and they will be moved to do the only thing that (to them) will solve the problems.  Personally, I think it's a right that people should have; let them determine when they want to die.  Taboos against suicide are driven by society and religions, and of course from those responsible for a person's life.

Emotions aside, think of how much power that takes from the person...how much power there is in a self-pull of the trigger to just remove themselves from their life.  Everything they need to go through at that one point to deny themselves life itself...

LOL, I just graduated high school 2 years ago. It wasn't that hard. A lot of kids nowadays just let everything get to them that's all. I learned to live a I don't give a shit kind of life. My life is my life, what you say or do will not affect it. But most of the people I knew were the complete opposite. It's like, oh that person said I'm a fag so I'm gon go kill myself. Weak minded.

Another thing is attention. A lot of kids feel like they are alone, even though there are people there to help them. They're being narrow minded, blocking off the people that want to help, and focusing on the people that ignore them.

Basically stupid stuff. Teenage people haven't seen or experienced anything in my opinion. They say divorved parents, hell my parents were never married, I live with my mom here in the US and my father is in another country. I'm 20, I've spent 11 years living with my father and 9 with my mom who is married to my stepfather who had a kid which is now my half brother. But I'm not complaining. You adapt and overcome, but a lot of kids obviously can't I don't  know why.

Money issues, BS, you're in school, focus on it. Using school as a reason? WTF, it's one of the most controlled environments in my opinion. Avoid the bad people and do what you are supposed to do and you'll be fine. No one bothered me in school, and my graduating class had 428 students. Just imagine the diversity and differences involved in that amount of student population.

So how can someone kill themselves? I really don't know, I don't see any plausible reasons at all. But that's just me, I'm kinda narrow minded too. ;D

Sit back and count your blessings, as long as there are people that love you and need you. Never give up!

edited to add...

I got to thinking and someone might think no one loves them or needs them...still don't give up! Time can change things!

depression, which is a common factor in suicide, is a mental disease which can be treated with therapy and medication. although i wont say its the only factor, i will say its probably one of the leading ones leading to suicide or attempted suicide.  for those of you who joke about this or make negative comments, you are the real idiots because these people you make fun of truly need your support.  its a shame that some people are so narrow minded and self centered as to not feel the needs of others.  just my .02.

Depression. Never actually had clinical depression before, but had a friend that did. He got out of it though.

And I'd also say that people may commit suicide because of pressure/stress and lack of rest. This school year, I got a zero period and have to wake up an hour earlier and lately, I've been pulling all-nighters to finish my work. By the time I get to school, I feel... off. Abnormal. Plus, when parents have high expectations of you that you haven't been able to fulfill, you might feel a tad suicidal. I've been raised to do well in school all my life, and lately, my grades have been slipping and my parents are getting dissappointed.
