I had an issue when I re-installed the game ...after having uninstalled it for about a year (http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=56628), that issue seemed to be resolved....don't know ?
I have been playing almost daily since I got it working again.
So 2 days ago, I'm playing and all is well.
Quit the game to go eat, when I re-launch the game it won't ....hangs at "Connecting to..." screen.
The only way to exit the screen to to turn off the computer .....3 finger salute is not responsive, ALT+TAB nfg, etc.
Yesterday, same thing ...come home from work, load game, play until dinner ...quit, eat, game won't start.
Today, same ol' story.
Any help/ideas?
