Hey just wondering how many of you got the expert knife badge and could post here also would be nice telling me you're story on how you got it also if you dont got you're expert knife badge still come in and talk about the knife and how close are you to getting it?
I've seen alot of people say its impossible to get and ive seen alot of people with just Veteran knife badges but i got it on my first day as soon as i had over 100 kills i really am an good with the knife.
I gotta say the Knife is one of the best and most useful weapons in the game now before i even tried going for any of the badges i never used the knife and alot of people wouldnt because you're thinking a knife vs gun = you die and you probably tried got frustrated and never used it again but it depends how you use it how fast you are and prone is the secret.
So here is my story how i got it yesterday and i'm gonna give my tips on knife combat feel free to post you're tips and you're stories how you got it.
Before i do one thing that pisses me off the most for dying is getting killed by Artillery and Jets but what about being killed by a knife? When you get killed by a knife from behind specially does it really piss you off? (I've killed 168 people i think and this was just in a few hours)
I've never got knifed alot i think only twice people that try to knife me arent smart or quick enough here is a tip never stop moving never stay in one spot or proned for long and always look behind you.
I was on Karkland i was prone on the ground near the square and shooting my pistol then instead of reloading and staying prone there like most people would i got up turned around and guess what some guy comming at me with a knife he didnt make it very close and i just used my doa on him.
Ok so here is my story how i got the badge yesterday and then my tips they might help if any one else is trying to get it.
The map of course was Karkland this is the only useful map to get knife kills tons i mean tons because maps with alot of vechiles or huge open areas then it can be pretty difficult.
Also dont join a server unless it has 64 players playing the more the better you might think the less the more easier but the less the more harder.
So this is what i did i only used the knife i did it by constantly stabbing people in that little metal fenced in area at the hotel alot from behind and alot prone if some one is close to me and sees me and starts shooting more then likely i / you will die but not always something ive gotten a few kills by diving at them and stabbing em or running and proning and stab.
But here is the thing it says you need 100 global knife kills and 18 kills in one round well i did more then 18 and i didnt get it i got the badge after doing 38 knife kills lol so i dont know and i did 38 knife kills on one map.
So here is my tips and this is basicly how i got it also.
1. Karkland (Always play on this with 64 players to get tons of knife kills)
2. Good Class to be to knife is sniper because his long range running and camoflauge you might think being a class with heavy armor helps but not really running is way more important so i reccomend the sniper class but it also might be harder because the sniper has alot more crap to cycle threw just like the medic with the Anti Tank you just gotta press you're quick key twice to switch back and forth from Knife to Doa but he has small sprint so i reccomend Sniper.
3. I dont reccomend wandering big open areas with you're knife out such as the big hills the key is to being in closed areas with alot of places to run threw like alleys and buildings but it mainly depends on what the enemy is doing and also pay attention to the UAV look at the dots to see wich way they are facing and also take risks if you're afraid to go in for knife kills you're just gonna get killed take risks you might die some times but its worth it you'll get better.
4. Look for enemies who have there back turned run up to them stop then stab if this doesnt work and they see you then you can whip out you're pistol or what ever and kill them. Prone enemies are the easiest what you do is run up to them but dont jump then knife although you would think this is useful well it is but the thing that i found works most is running then just proning and then stab soon as you prone near them stab them. Snipers are easy targets if you see some one with there back turned sniping just rush in behind them and prone and stab dont be afraid to prone and prone crawl to get closer and stab ive killed alot of people in a row with this. Also if you noticed a person carrying a knife they panic because they know they can be killed in one hit and also you're an easy target so if theres tons of people shooting at them and they still see a guy holding a knife they go for the guy holding the knife lol.
Look out on top of buildings go up the ladder then prone and stab but if there is a claymore then you're screwed also alot of times i dont stealth i just assault with my knife i just run into big crowds if i see any one proned or hiding behind corners proned just run up to them jump dive and stab or prone and stab also follow people dont go in front of them just follow them soon as there in knife range stab them also look out for enemies reloading follow em when there turned around stab the best knife kills specially are people are in very crowded dark areas such as the destroyed APC at Karkland people proning there can get easily killed so it just takes practice and you need to take risks and go nuts or you wont get any where
5. Using vechiles like the cars is useful just quickly drive by the sides then get out and just run in and prone and kill also very quick nice way to get there before they even have time to think what there gonna do.
Here is my funny stories how i got it / funny knife kills.
The best knife kill ive gotten or should i say kill's was at Karkland in the metal fenced area it was pretty funny there was some people running around not sure who cant remember i just ignored them i went straight for the people in the corner proned now there was one guy proned with his gun then i think some one died and the medic jumped in there proned and revived him i quickly went in there little orgy in the corner and i stabbed all three of them with out getting hurt at all that was my best moment.
Another useful thing is when some one taking over the hotel map more then likely the enemy is going to be proned at the other end or corner with his gun ready instead of taking the ladder risked being heard and shot i just run in then quickly prone and stab him i do it so fast that they dont even have time to act or even shoot a bullet kinda reminds me of Hitman Codename 47 lol.
Another memorable knife kill was a mec enemy proned near the hotel area in the middle before USA artillery and where the big hill goes down i saw him in there i drove my car then quickly got out i went there proned i saw him he saw me we were both proned looking at each other he looked straight at me before i killed him but what was funny right before i knifed him right before the knife animation stabed him a half a second i guess he held down his mouse to shoot me right before my knife stabbed and killed him he only got one shot out of his gun before i killed him it was nice.
