How do you reconcile the differing attitudes regarding the violence in the Old Testament compared to the more peaceful New Testament?  They seem to belong to two different Religions, but they are in the same Bible.

Are Judaism and The Old Testament of the Christian Bible (basically the same books) more barbaric than Islam?  One of the selling points the Zionist founders of Israel used on Westerners to establish "The Jewish State" in the midst of Muslim states is "an out post of civilization in the midst of Barbarism".  Theodor Herzl (founder of Zionism).

Should Christianism cut the Old Testament from The Bible?  What Do Christians think?

Which message is The Old Testament giving to people of faith when you read things like:

Genesis 22:2: "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about."  This is about asking Abraham to kill his own son as a proof of faith.

Numbers 1:51: "...when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death."

Exodus 22:18: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."

Exodus 21:17: "And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death."

Exodus 21:15: "And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death."

Deuteronomy 21:18-21: "If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother.....all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die."

Exodus 35:2: "...but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death."

Why all the religous things? Anyways its the old testament because of Eye for an Eye Tooth for a Tooth etc.

Jesus came and washed away all of the bullshit teachings of the old testament in my opinion - symbolised by his tirade at the temple moneylenders. It was like a fresh start. The message of Jesus supercedes everything in the old testament. But of course I'm a former catholic, now full-time die-hard atheist so what would I know?

Steadfast application of Deuteronomy 19:14 from the time of Exodus until now would have avoided a lot of the problems in the modern day Middle East (unrealistic I know, but philosophically relevant).

The New Testament would be a bit more "love thy neighbour" - even if they have dynamite strapped to them....

I don't know which leads to more violence in the long run.

I got you more than you got me though! Both cores were on the brink at the end - I could have concentrated on winning rather than getting you. When I killed you in the titan corridor to get access to one of the panels I didn't bother destroying it - I waited for you to arrive so I could kill you again! I see you use the same old trick as me - C4 on the walls half way down the titan corridor - I wasn't going to fall for my own trick!

I got you more than you got me though! Both cores were on the brink at the end - I could have concentrated on winning rather than getting you. I have the pics, I'll look at them at home.  If I remember well you killed me 3 times in the titan, and I killed you once from the titan while taking a silo and 2 times inside the titan.  So, it was 3-3.  Anyway, I ended that round like 18-6 and managed to hold your team out of the core for the needed time to destroy yours.  I was more concentrated in defending the titan than getting your tag.  Maybe next time.
