Life existed in its present form since the beginning. The sexual intercourse Adam and Eve's children had to engage in with each other in order to propagate the human race led to the genetic diveristy between humans in different parts of the world that we see today. Hooray for in-breeding!

Pteradactyl skeletons are a test of faith.

In fact anything that casts doubt on religious teachings is a test of faith.

Off topic: How do you know how many tags you have from each country?  Does it appear anywhere?  I won't count them manually from my BFHQ.

Natural Selection..

And since we're talking about evolution..
People are actually de-evolving according to some scientists (becoming less resistent) because of the life full of comfort most (Western) people have these days..
hmm.. should make a topic about that.. :-P lol

Unfortunately, you look at some of the stupid people in this world and have to wonder if it picks often enough.

"natural selection" is great and all, but does it explain exactly how life started in the beginning? no, it doesn't. don't be deceived by Darwin's half cooked "theory". take a good look, Darwinism doesn't have much to stand on anymore...

LOL. If you want half cooked theories walk into a library and take out a book called 'The Bible'. It's full of some pretty tall tales. Worth a read and a laugh. Recommended. There's all sorts of bullshit in it like people being raised from the dead, seas being parted, water turning into wine, etc. It also apparently states that the earth was created in 6 days - and if you read it you'll notice that it was actually created in the dark!! It's a real hoot.

I went with option 2.  Even though life evolved through natural selection, the odds of it ever starting are near zero.  The chances of the proper amino acids randomly coming together in perfect conditions to form a cell are so minuscule that several scientists have said that there must have been some intervention by a higher power.  Believe it or not, it doesn't bother me.  Thats just my idea.

Just something to think about.  I see people saying that scientists have said that the possibility of life starting all by itself are minimal, and that the likelyhood of life elsewhere is minimal.  However, you have to realize that they are basing that assumption on the likelyhood of carbon based, oxygen breathing, bags of water (humans) like us.  That eliminates nearly infinite possibilities for other forms of life.  Just because it isn't like us doesn't mean the universe isn't teaming with life.

Also, we know so little about space in the grand scheme of things, that to say that the chances of life, even like us, is extremely remote is pretty arrogant.

And which is the correct theory, the one that explains it all and it's well cooked?  I would like you to explain it for us, because I don't know it.

Darwin never said he knew how life was created, he proposed a theory on how it evolved. If you are looking for the creation of life theories try "Primal Soup" and "Cosmogenesis" on the wikipedia.

Its like saying the laws of gravity is false because quarks don't follow it. Its two different things about physics, one isn't opposed to the other...

Before you answer the question up the top we must also ask ourselves did life really evolve? Have we really become better then our ancestors? We still go around killing raping murdering each other. Its all just a big joke really. I think if there is a god he is just a tosser looking down on us all laughing at us. Then again im aethiest.

Putting it that way, Bush just about disprooves the theory evolution

How did life evolve?

Really really slowly, by utterly random blind luck and with an unimaginable number of failures.

Human evolution is not dependent on moral evolution, since morals after all do not exist outside peoples own personal belief of what they are....hence its just a concept.

Evolution is NOT goal oriented, don't kid yourself into thinking that since things evolve they are some how meant to keep on evolving into some future supreme creature. For examples take a look at alligators, they have been around for millions of years why haven't they turned into some different creature? Well they fit their own niche and do not require and change in order to survive, hence they are still alligators.
