Just read about it on AOL news (for my sins), I think it be so awsome, atleast if it happened, we wouldnt have so much shit to contend with in the EU, France and Germany atm arent exactly helping things for the UK atleast.  Guess that is to be expected, triangle of power it is called, still it be nice if it was the UK and France together, rather than us on our own

The normans were part of France. So if you want to call invading and taking over "joinin", then yes, France did "join" england.

We need to go and beat them up again!! is what we've done for centuries! never join them! Can understand why they wanted to join the motherland though!!!

Was the only reason the second world war kicked off, forget Poland!! they invaded France thats our sand pit, if anyone is going to beat up the french it will be the British!!

Its our world, we'll have it back when the lease is up!!
listen here any Yanks about to join in the war of words!! Just remember, we were popular when it was our turn!!!

I'm not entirely sure, but I think Normandy was seperate from France around then.

If I was English I would be pissed. Just tell them fine, but we want to decorate our half of the Eiffel Tower into the worlds largest dildo.

Might be good for England. As it stands there isn't anyone to do it's surrendering for them yet. I bet the French coulda saved England from that whole "Battle of Britain" thing during WW2.

As far as I remember from High school History, the Normans were originally vikings, who recieved land from France in return for the vikings to stop raiding France. Then as time progressed the vikings lost their "vikingness" and eventually became French.

It was still the kingdom of France. Remember that at that time nationstates were not developed and kingdoms were basically regions divvied up into lots of little pieces each with their own rulers. So the Normans could easily be considered French.
