I have a book on my desk: details all the things the US military can do. Bombs, bullets, beans, guess what? Printed in China - surprise, surprise. Do not head-on engage Abrams tanks but blow the crap out of their fuel trucks, thus immobilizing them...check. Blend in with the population, check. Guerilla warfare, check. Your little MOAB is useless against people spread out over 1000 square miles hidden in with the people. And as World War II and Vietnam should have shown, bombs don't win wars. They help to win wars.

Oh, and about us being the only superpower? Hmm...it seems that we like to make enemies, and if we don't, we're good at it anyways. Our enemies have something in common: being our enemies. Our enemies figure it out sooner or later and make an alliance on the premise that they don't like us. Us > random nation, 15 armed and pissed-off nations > us. Face it.
