Alright heres what happend I put in the cd and let everything load up , went to join a server and it all just exit'ed and i was back to the start menu  I was mad and now im reinstalling everything , I did a full system scan virus check , turned off my computer and restarted it nothing works now hopefully this reinstallment works .. if anyone has any other idea's please help me.

Restart your computer after you reinstall and before you try to play the game.  This might help.
Also before you reinstall go in to your C: drive and make sure all the BF2 file are gone.  Don't get rid of the file in the Documents folder where your screenshots and profiles are located.  Good luck!!

ahh f*ck , is it ok if its still there cause i just read ur tip and its already installed and it seems to be working but guess what ... i have the  1.3 patch lol and there only 4 servers wow this is just great .. F*CK

ok its all good i think everything is working now , i just got to get the 1.41 patch back again which took me like 7hours to download cause i have the worlds crappy interenet , its cable but slow ..

hey guys  im new to forum 1st post so please bare with   i have same problem Marine_fighter77  had . bf2 has been on my computer for 2 years now . did a virus scan , checked video driver , re installed  , i just played 2 days ago now when i go to launch game from desktop icon comes up then just disapears game  will not run no matter what i do .  please any help would be greatly appreciated
