I think Kmarion's sub-forum idea is actually better than placing a bunch of stickies. That way, single threads won't die to countless spam, and moderators will have an easier time of managing things.sergeriver wrote:

Then put a sticky for religion, another for American Politics, another for Middle East, we have the Israel and Palestine already, and there you go, you will have 4 threads only. It's not a discussion between religious and atheists. For instance I opened a poll about the meaning of the Bible. There was another about the Free Will and religion. I think religious persons in this forum take it personal when someone who isn't talks about religion. The fact is religion is indeed one of the most interesting topics discussed in here, why would you limit it like they did with Israel?unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Hmmmm, I thought atheists don't believe in any deity or god? Yet your statement says you were put on this earth in part by "mother nature, " a form of a deity.Dezerteagal5 wrote:
No way. I was put on this earth by mother nature and my parents (NOT by god) to convince people that religion is the downfall of our majorly advancing culture. Plain and simple.
So in other words, I simply bring a question to your attention. You tell me I can't read and attempt to insult my intelligence. Now you're calling me intolerant. I think I'll quote myself.sergeriver wrote:

That's not very tolerant. I take your advice by not reading or caring about most of them though. It's just silly how many of them there are.Marconius wrote:

Where is the anti-American comment here? I think you have comprehension issues to solve. Why would I want America to be invaded by China if I have relatives and friends living there and I don't know any Chinese.
First, I don't even know who you are. But, when did I insult your intelligence? I said you had comprehension issues to solve, because you thought I made an anti-American comment when I said I would support US if China invaded it. Then, you call me all the above things. Who insulted who?Ajax_the_Great1 wrote:

"I grow tired of your bullshit with every post."
Who said anything about censoring posts? All I see is a suggestion to other posters to discuss something other than religion for a change. I'm not calling you intolerant, just that particular response seemed along the lines of it.Marconius wrote:
Oh, I must have missed something here...a topic about stopping the formation of other topics just because one person doesn't like to see so many of them on a forum...and you call me intolerant? Aiya...
Tolerance is allowing for the threads to be made. You have the freedom to read them, and have the freedom to NOT read them. You have the freedom to post them or to not post them. If I decided to just start deleting every single religious thread here, that would be intolerance, yes?
If the threads were duplicates, they'd be taken care of, but the issue is each realm of discussion has so many facets that all of them cannot be taken on by one thread alone. I actually care about the topics I take part in here. Debating is something I really like to do to keep up with the public discourse. If you don't care about what is in this section, then perhaps I should just instate an invite only system (like this was in the first place) so you don't have to bother with all of this...

Which one? The one saying you had comprehension issues to solve? You implied that I was being anti-American for saying I would support US if China invaded it. What may be easily implied from any of those comments? If you thought I was being sarcastic you were wrong. Either way, you called me ignorant twat for that and you said if Argentina were invaded you would say fuck the "dipshits" and "assholes" from that country. Again, who insulted who?Ajax_the_Great1 wrote:

Serge, I'm going to simply ask you to think about your first comment and look at what may be easily implied.

I was being sarcastic about the sticky thing. I agree with you when you put a sticky you killed the topic.Spark wrote:
