Great choice for a starter DSLR. Now save up big time. The quality lenses will cost more than the body.Kmarion wrote:

Edit:it was a bit more but company ended up buying it for me.

Excellent lens. Adorama is ok as far as prices are concerned, but check out Dell prior to Christmas time. Like this thread: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/message … did=685729Kmarion wrote:

Very nice, the Canal looked really good. I'm in the process now of making a gallery. I'll post it when I get it published online.Hama-Raptor-UK wrote:

i like that web site its just that you have to crop your images and can only post 1 a day
You would have to be fucking crazy! Just get the 17-40 f/4L instead. Similar focal range and a fraction of the price. You could also get an EF-S 10-22mm. That's the shiz for ultra wide angle.Kmarion wrote:

Any of the Canon EF 70-200 L series. You have an F/4, F/2.8 and then the option of image stabilisation on either. For a telephoto, I would NOT reccomend the EF 75-300 lenses. Mine is pretty bad, and I only have it because I got it in the kit. Sigma also make an ok 70-200 2.8Kmarion wrote:
I need help finding a good telephoto lens now . Lovin this camera though http://tampastorm.smugmug.com/gallery/2 … 71851-L-LB .
, just don't pour too much money into it... yet.Kmarion wrote:
Thanks for the advice guys. This is one of my new hobbies I am pioneering. You may be saving a noobie from pouring money into the wrong places.
Nope. I occasionally post my stuff at POTN (from above), but I have no online gallery. I should start looking around for one.MagikTrik wrote:
@ mcminty: do you have a gallery up anywhere?
my failure of a website is here: www.MagikXImaging.com but I haven't done anything to it in forever so there's nothing there. Will try to get it up this weekend though. I have some stuff at deviantArt too under the name "MagikTrik" (of course): http://magiktrik.deviantart.com/ but that hasn't been updated since dA changed their look the last time.
Since that thread was closed may I ask what kind of lens and settings you used for those .
