Universal Health Care is not a good idea in my mind. A balanced budget would be nice.

Kinda wonder why someone posted to shut down NASA? It has faced severe lack of support for its true mission, to reach beyond the limits of this planet, but the Space Administration has a serious part in our futures. We have the ability to really screw this planet up, & we've been exercising that option, Earth has taken some major abuse at humanities hands, & we can never rule out the asteroid / comet / space debris impaction possibilities. Would be nice to know we can expand out into the Galaxy someday, & that there is hope for Mankind yet.
I like the idea of all likely candidates, apply, we vote down to 3, then it goes to lottery drawing. Candidates would be well aware of the Judicial system, have a Law background, but never have been involved in politics before. They would not have the "Good Ole' Boy" connections, but they also would not have those "Obligations" (Remember George, we got you into office, now throw us the bones!)
At the end of their term, vote to the public, 3 ways:
      1) Jail 'Em
      2) Pay them, thank them, send them on their merry way
      3) Re-Elect for another term

Actually I'd like to see less Government, there are too many people running around and they really don't do enough IMO.

Change the way they get raises!  I mean really, I'd vote to give myself more money too!

On that list welfare and illeagle aliens is what is hurting the economy the most. Theres too many lazy people sitting on their fat asses not trying to get a job and the people that have jobs suffer from it. The ileagle aliens are willing to work below minimum wage which the people that demand min wage lose their job and they dont pay taxes.

I put a wall for both Mexico and Canada, because the US has two borders. Everyone wants to focus on the Mexican border. In this poll its both or none.

NASA is on the poll due to thier unlimited budget for space travel which more times than not yield little to no results of any significance. Hence, NASA=waste of billions upon billions.

I'm not American, but from a 'rest of the world' perspective I'd like to see the US balance their budget. US budget deficits only put more pressure on the rest of the G8.

Who was that great president you used to have who got rid of all national debt? Was it Jackson?

I'm not exactly a proponent of Universal Healthcare, but yesterday it costed my mom $500 to take me to see the doctor. That just isn't reasonable. Something has to be done to fix the lack of healthcare for people in the US.

New metals, crystals and films, new fabrics, medicines and medical devices, detailed Earth maps, better foods, improved weather studies, Hundreds of thousands of people have their jobs linked one way or the other to NASA, Cellular tech, TV tech, oh yea and Velcro. Disbanding NASA is disbanding a humans natural desire to explore. For the most part people have no clue on how much we have benifited from NASA and the improvements to our quality of life here on earth.

I would challenge half your post. Make a NASA topic. We can discuss. Back to the poll.

That's not just a product of our poor healthcare system... that's also a product of our horrible legal system.  Doctors have to carry so much malpractice insurance it's sickening.

It's called Health Insurance; get some.

By the way, I think your mom needs to take you to an English tutor, not the doctor.

That's funny because if I want to go see the doctor it costs me €40, of which I get half back in tax relief. If they send me to hospital I don't even have to spend a red cent either. There is also a cap on how much you spend on medicine after which the government pays all of the rest! And what you did pay for, medicine-wise, you can claim back 42% in tax relief. W00t! Enjoy being shafted by pharmaceuticals!!
