I suggest reading the article before posting. The G5 performed HORRIBLY in the tests...CrazeD wrote:

i use like teddy.jimmy a generic mouse but optical! and i can fly my choppers and jets just fine
i personally have a 518 that i love. best thing ever. and ive tried the G5. too much of a hassle, more expensive, and worse button layout over my 518. ive had my mouse for over 2 years, and besides the logitech logo wearing off, its still awesome
i did try the new logitech revolution (the one with the spinny wheel) at Fry's. it actually feels really nice...i would definitely go for one if it wasn't so damn expensive.

Nar, tried a G5, horrible thing. Seemed like it was designed for fat people with chubby fingers.CrazeD wrote:

ya the G5 is for sausage fingers
If you dont use your razor wanna sell it to me for discount
Logitech mx510
it owns PRETTY hard.

I won't down any other mouse as I haven't used them, but I do use an MX518 and I love it. I think it did make me a slightly better player in the sense that I can do things faster like switch to pistol and back to primary weapon because of the programmable buttons, or change sensitivity for chopper piloting and such. So yeah, that one gets my vote.

I had a MX510, then upgraded to a MX518(love it). Finally bought a Copperhead and after a couple days using it, went back to the MX518. I am gunna give my Copperhead to my brother for Christmas. The MX518 just has a better feel and the two buttons over the thumb are by far the easiest to access. I have my two buttons set to jump and prone so "dolphin diving" is a breeze.
I just couldn't get my fingers to comfortably hit the side keys on the Copperhead.

yeh
Razer Copperhead CPL edition with a Razer Terantula keyboard...I dream of these
I've played with the Razer & it feels like it may be better for longer gaming sessions but I own the G5 & absolutely love the weights. Doesn't seem like it'd be a big deal but it is, that coupled with the fact you can change sensitivity on the fly (from tank turret to assault rifle to sniper scope) is a big plus.
*Edit:* btw I have long alien fingers & it still feels nice for my hand although I have heard the sausage fingers thing alot.

i have the copperhead and tried the G5. one's a ferrari and the other a porsche. both are great. BUT they have different handling styles. With the copperhead, the base of your palm is on the table while your fingers and middle portion of your palm pushes the mouse. with the G5 (G7, 518x, etc), the base of your palm is on the mouse and the middle to lower portion of your palm pushes the mouse. different strokes for different folks i guess.CrazeD wrote:

that said, razor scored extra points with me when my mouse had the cold-reboot issue. They RMA-ed it even though it was more than a year old. US$3 postage to Hong Kong for a new mouse! :-)
