I don't know how, but I got the SAS service ribbon with 57 hrs played as SAS and 100 hrs played on maps with SAS. I assume its 5 hrs as army and 100 hrs in service on maps with SAS.

both - 5 AS sas, and 100 on the sas maps (because you could get the former on only one map, and the latter as the other team).
i think there's also a best round requirement too?

If you want to dissect the numbers, I picked up my Spetsnaz and Rebel ribbons last night (Wed.). I've had my SAS for several days.
this is a little wierd.... I just got my insurgent, rebel, sas and spetz ribbons. the only similarity is each faction has over 100 rounds played as each? Goofy, anyone figure this out yet?
I dont think number of rounds as I got MEC and Seals last night at the same time and I have 173 rounds as Seals and 67 rounds as MEC.
I just noticed I got my SAS and Spetsnaz , but it never showed up "on screen" as receiving an award. Did everyone elses show up during the game?

got my sas and spez ribbon today had about 85 hrs playtime onmaps for sas and about 68hrs on maps for spez.had about 50h playtime as sas and about 30h as spez.124/81 wins with sas and 70/74 wins as spez.best round as sas 203 and as spez 92.Had a total playtime of about 120hrs in special forces.hope this helps

I have a feeling these ribbons are the equalivent to the mec and pla service ribbons.

this happened right befor the release of the previous patch as well (people got random medals like the navy cross etc)
I've looked at several different players and compared numbers for Number of games, Hours played as xxx, Hours on maps and Rounds played but nothing really adds up. It has to include a Best Round or something. It could be 20 or 25 hours as XXX and best round of 75.
Vegence is a good example. 18 hours as Rebels (?) and a high best round but no ribbon. He has all other ribbons with games over 20 hours and high BR. Where as my hours are high but my best rounds are just above 75.

I dunno about the best round idea. my 2 lowest BR scores i have the ribbons. unless the best rnd is a min of 75 or 80. But the 2 I haven't recieved have the least amount of time also. Judging by my stats. it may be a min of 25 hours + some unknown factor?.......lol
