Do a lot of comedians make fun of Bush in the US? There's a helluva lot of mick-taking of Blair going on here, and there always is, whoever the leader is. I just wondered whether it was the same over there.

Hell yeah everybody hates Bush, which is why it's such a wonder he's still there and not lynched.

I get excited if I see a comedian telling jokes that aren't about Bush. If that answers your question.

This one is actually pretty funny.

The daily Show is dedicated to ANY sitting president. The next democrat in office will get the same treatment.

Bush got elected the first time. alot of "misguided" voters there.  second time, it seemed to be "don't change presidents during a war"  or "bush will persevere".   Now, his approval ratings are at an all time low, and we all know REGARDLESS of politcal affiliation, he's a shit president. Alot of America is reluctant to admit that. But we're crossing that bridge.

It's like having sex with your cousin. You know it was wrong. Admitting to it will make you look like an ass, so you hide it, but sooner or later, you're gonna have to fess up to it.

What I'm saying is is Bush is as productive as cousins having sex, savvy?

not only do comedians live off of him but some businesses advertise using him to, i remember one of the first things i saw when i was visiting the states was a billboard for a book company ,  it was a big picture of bush, and it said just cause you go to Yale i doesn't mean your smart, i thought it was pretty funny

For starters....for all you ignorant fools that keep bashing Bush....whether you like him or not, he's the damned president of the United States.  Support him.  You don't have to like him to support him.  Who was the last president that you DID like?  And how many of you are old enough to even remember a president before Bush?  Yeah, I didn't think so....now STFU.

As far as the original question goes.....Bush gets made fun of a lot because of his speech qualities.  And like every major political figure...every decision that he makes gets second guessed and questioned.  It's like that for every president that we've had in recent times.  Americans = a bunch of ignorant hyenas.... we love to eat our own.

Yes, Bush gets made fun of by comedians. The same way Clinton did before him, and Bush before him, and Reagan before him, and Carter before him, and Ford before him, and Nixon before him....... its what we do. Any powerful political figures, no matter how popular, are easy fodder for comedy. That's the very nature of the job.

Now quotes like these:

are from the children in our forums here. Unsubstantiated drivel from thoughless minds. As you can see here 58% of Americans agree with them and 42% disagree. Hardly everyone.

Actually, I meant what I wrote. If you're in the spotlight, you're going to be made fun of regardless of how expert a politician you are. You can always reduce ridicule by executing critics, of course.

And by "his," you should clarify which guy you refer to.

Exactly, Bush fumbles with a few words, he gets called retarded. Clinton gets a BJ from a secritary, he gets called a sex freak. Sadly people actually take these sterotypes to heart.
