Wow, I would have thought a Brit would understand our history properly. Let me fill you in:

1700's. England sucks, London sucks, the weather sucks.
Streets are overcrowded, most of the population is in poverty since being jammed into the cities because of the Industrial Revolution.
To make a living some people resort to crime, in fact, it was known that you had a better life in prison, so people would purposely get caught
"Oh darn, what a pity, guess I'll get free food and board now, without the concern of ever working ever again..."

Too many people got the idea, and England was desperate to piss em off.
Now America had a sook, so they can't send them there, but they heard about this island on the other side of the world.

The 'island' sounded awesome to London, so off to the island all the crooks went. Little did they know, Australia is 20x bigger and has 100x better weather than England.

And thus a nation is born.
