Hi,

I have been playing BF2 for a few months and I like the game very much.  I recently purchased a usb logitech game pad controller-looks like a PS2 controller.  I was wondering if there is any way to set up the controller to map the control functions that the mouse uses in the game for ex.set up secondard controls, leaving the mouse as primary, but using the game pad left stick for movement and the right stick for looking around.

I have tried to map the controls in the options tab but i cant get the right stick set up for looking around 360 degrees.  My reflexes uding the mouse and keyboard are slow, so i thought using a game bight be easier then using the keyboard and mouse.

Any help would be appreciated

Try joy-to-key,a little tool that lets you assign mouse and/or keyboard functions to any kind of joystick or controller.
It has been in the how-to-fly-tips thread,I suppose it's in the files section here too.

EDIT: Yup,it's in there. Here you go http://files.bf2s.com/download.php?file=53

Not sure if you can mate, but i will say that bf2 was the first game i played on my pc and i had terrible probs adapting to the keyboard(having owned ps2 and xbox) but it took me a good few months for it to feel natural. i played half life 2 and far cry on the pc and it all helped naturalise myself with the keyboard. the game is designed for the keyboard so my advice would be to stick with it. you will get there and when you do i promise it will feel right and comfortable!
